The Ely Cathedral exhibition paintings are still in the planning stages. I am finding it frustrating not being able to get straight into painting, but I know that this is too big a subject matter to do without thorough research first. I have been on one tour already and taken some time just to be in the cathedral, observing both the building and the visitors. I have taken a few photographs and made some very rough sketches. I am attending a meeting on Thursday at which we are going to discuss the potential of an accompanying leaflet and tour for the exhibition, so I look forward to having some more refined ideas soon.
