I am very happy with my latest commission, (finished shortly after my last blog). I have done a painting of a dog before in ‘Liverpool’ but it wasn't important then that I capture its character, it just needed to look like a Dalmation. I worked from photographs for Buster so I haven't actually met him and he was especially difficult because he is a cross-breed, but I am pleased to say that his owners are delighted with the painting. The Open Studios exhibition in July went really well and I had a brilliant summer. I haven't got straight back into painting as intended as Ouse Life have been planning for a new Exhibition at Ely Cathedral and I have been actively involved in the planning stage, which has included a number of meetings and a lot of emails. Our proposal has now been approved so I will be starting research for my new painting from today.
